IG is changing rapidly, so doing the following one thing will find you increasing your reach & engagement before your competitors work this out: focus less on posts and pics; focus more on IGTV videos as they will have huge impact in 2019. How to do this effectively?

1. Make many many IGTV videOs

2. Vertical is native and recommended but can also go HoZo (horizontal). Use creativity to get them to swivel their phones

3. Then all the usual YouTube rules apply on descriptions, thumbnails, titles, content etc. but authenticity wins

4. Hashtags are an added IG metric so use a few here

5. You can share the first minute to your feed as a normal post – utilise that

6. Make the first minute captivating enough to watch the rest of vid and Key #Bonus Tip: FORMAT IT FOR SQUARE for first minute. OR another tactic:

7. Leave the last 10 seconds of the video only for IGTV – I’ve used this with much success with for e.g. a 1m 10s video

8. Swipe-ups on your story link to your IGTV video – key to drive views

9. Ask for comments to do giveaways etc. in your story itself, growth hack without getting penalised this way

10. Schedule uploads i.e. if you’re called Tim, do Tuesdays with Tim: Talkshow
